Sporting falls 3-2 to Pacos Ferreira in Portugal


LISBON, Portugal (AP) - Sporting Lisbon fell five points off second-place Benfica after losing 3-2 at home to 11th-place Pacos Ferreira in the Portuguese league on Saturday.
Samuel hammered a 40-meter strike to put Pacos Ferreira ahead in the 10th then Liedson equalized in the 42nd.
Manuel Jose Azevedo grabbed the advantage back for the visitors from the penalty spot two minutes before halftime.
Sporting drew level again in the 62nd when Diogo Salomao beat goalkeeper Cassio with a left-footed strike, but Luis "Pizzi" Alfonso appeared to get the 82nd-minute winner.
Also, Guimaraes beat Olhanense 1-0, and Braga got its first away win of the season beating Portimonense 3-0 on Friday.
League leader Porto plays last-place Naval and Benfica visits Academica on Sunday.
