Liverpool out to continue their resurgence under Dalglish

LIVERPOOL: A transformed Liver-pool will host Fulham today confident that their resurgence under Kenny Dalglish can continue.
Dalglish replaced Roy Hodgson as manager at Liverpool earlier this month and has the job until the end of the season when the Anfield boardroom will decide if he should be re-instated permanently.
He may well have only won one of his first four games back in charge but Liverpool look far more confident and attacking with him at the helm and he is the fans overwhelming favourite to stay in charge.
He has bought the best out of Fernando Torres once more – underlined by his brace against Wolves on Saturday – and he is hoping that will continue against Mark Hughes’s side.
“Certainly since I have come in here he has been nothing short of fantastic for us in the way he has applied himself in training and on the pitch,” Dalglish said of Torres.
“Apart from his goals, he’s worked tirelessly upfront to try and help us. I can only – and will only – assess what he’s done since we’ve come in, and we’ve been absolutely delighted with him and the other players as well.”
“I hope his best is yet to come.”
After tasting his first victory as manager at the weekend, Dalglish has also praised the collective spirit at Anfield and is hopeful that it can only improve the longer he is in charge.
“When things aren’t going as well as they could do for a football club and for individuals, it’s very difficult to turn it around – but they’ve turned it around and it’s great credit to them.”
Fulham’s weekend victory over Stoke was their fourth in six games and they now sit four clear of the relegation zone.
The current run suggests that Hughes’ side have moved on from their difficult start to the campaign and striker Andrew Johnson is convinced a corner has been turned.
“In the last two or three weeks it’s been coming together and we’re looking good,” he said.
And looking forward to the trip to Anfield, he said: “We’ll be looking to build on what we achieved on Saturday against Stoke – it’s time to kick on now.”
