AREQUIPA, Peru (AP) - Argentina has defeated host nation Peru 2-1 and Uruguay has drawn 1-1 with Venezuela in South American Under-20 World Cup qualifying.
Bruno Zuculini's 86th-minute goal Wednesday gave Argentina its second victory in two games in Group A. Peru has two straight losses and already faces a difficult task from the five-team round-robin group. There are two five-team groups in the 10-team tournament.
Rogelio Funes Mori gave Argentina the lead with a header in the 3rd minute. Peru equalized through a Alexander Callens header in the 60th.
Jose Reyes gave Venezuela a 1-0 lead in the 20th with Federico Rodriguez equalizing in the 58th. Uruguay lost its opener against Argentina and Venezuela was playing its first match.
